This plays like butter and sounds incredible. ![]() This has great string height (action) and correct intonation. The bridge is a Dotson bridge with an ebony cap. This has a new Huber frosted head by Remo and new Huber Truetone. This is a near perfect Greg Rich era Scruggs Standard. ![]() The original case is also clean inside and out. There is a hint of wear on the first few frets but just a hint. The neck and fretboard are also very clean with clean frets. The finish has an orange hue which was indicative of the Rich era. Other than those pin sized holes this is basically perfect. This doesn’t have spikes but I can install them if you buy the banjo. When I bought this there was a 5th string capo which I removed which left two pinsize holes on the side of the neck. This is all original with the original case and original warranty card. On top of all of this the label was hand signed by Earl Scruggs in light blue. This also has original Gibson D Tuners which are stamped Gibson in the buttons. The Kulesh ring is regarded as one of the best tone rings ever made. This has a Kulesh tone ring stamped Gibson USA which is a big plus. One piece armrest and a Gibson Presto Tailpiece. There is w/b/w binding on each side of the neck and resonator. There is a Hearts and Flowers inlay pattern with an extra inlay at the 1st fret just like the Scruggs Banjo. The neck is also curly maple and the fretboard is ebony. This has a 3 ply hard rock maple shell with a curly maple resonator. This is an all original banjo which is a copy of the banjo played by Earl Scruggs.
